In June 2016, Lotus Bloom became a grant recipient ($15,000) and partner with Full Circle Fund. Over the last 6 months, Full Circle Fund worked with Lotus Bloom to figure out the "secret sauce" that makes our programs so successful and create a messaging kit to support our promotional and content materials. On November 30, Full Circle Fund held the 5th Annual Demo Day at the SFJAZZ Center in San Francisco. The event served as a capstone presentation, which showcased 7 nonprofit Grant Partners. Lotus Bloom's Executive Director, Angela Louie Howard and the other nonprofit leaders took the stage in front of a crowd of 500 to build awareness around the innovative solutions organizations are pioneering in the areas of Education, Environment, Economic Opportunity and Health.

Our Executive Director, Angela Louie Howard, received a Bronze Medallion at the Jefferson Awards Ceremony. Angela was among many truly outstanding individuals dedicated to public service and their local communities. The Jefferson Awards was established in 1972 to encourage and honor individuals for their achievements and contributions through public and community service. Guest speaker, Ronnie Lott, legendary 49er and founder of All Stars Helping Kids, was on hand to present awards to Students in Action.

Lotus Bloom's very own Executive Director, Angela Louie Howard, has been presented with the Jefferson Awards for Public Service. The Jefferson Awards was created in 1972 as a Nobel Prize for public service. The Jefferson Awards are presented at both the national and local levels.
